JUNE 23, 2022 - FREMONT, CALIFORNIA – Sidus Energy, a leading battery technology company, has announced that it has signed a Sample Transfer Agreement with PSA Automobiles S.A., which is part of the Stellantis Group. This agreement will support the collaboration of the Cobalt-free technology developed by IBM for use in the electric vehicle automobile market.  

Sidus and PSA reviewed the advanced technology and benefits of the Cobalt-free technology. After a detailed technical review of the performance of the battery cells, Sidus and PSA agreed to formalize the sample transfer agreement. The signing of the agreement and shipment of prototype battery cells represents an important milestone toward the commercialization of this technology. With these battery cells, PSA can begin the testing process at their facilities and provide feedback on the performance of the cells.
